About This Prize
Dr Wilson Cheung, a glaciologist and polar explorer, is the first Hongkonger to serve as a mountain guide in Antarctica, the Arctic and the Swiss Alps. Honoured as one of the "Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World" in 2025. This exclusive adventure includes a three-day journey in the Swiss Alps and two nights in a high-alpine hotel (~2,200 m) with full-board. Day 1: Meet at SBB Fiesch station, ascend to alpine hotel, safety briefing and acclimatisation walk. Day 2: Morning ascent to Eggishorn (~3,000 m) with panoramic glacier views. Optional via ferrata and introduction to glacier science. Day 3: Explore the Aletsch Glacier, experience ice climbing, return by cable car. For 2-4 people. Return cable-car tickets and full guiding included.
