About This Lot
Your expedition starts at the legendary Muthaiga Club in Nairobi, where Out of Africa was filmed. Perhaps visit Nairobi National Park or one of Nairobi's other exciting options before heading north to one of the most remote and extraordinary landscapes on Earth.
Itinerary
Day 1Nairobi
Arrive at the legendary Muthaiga Club. Optional visit to Nairobi National Park.
Day 2Fly to Lake Turkana
Fly north to the remote deserts of northern Kenya, to the Jade Sea — the world's largest desert lake and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 34 – Fossil Exploration
Explore by 4x4 the unique landscapes where exposed rock beds have revealed the world's largest collection of human ancestors spanning over 3 million years. Visit digs and collections including axes, arrows, hominid fossils, and fossils of extinct creatures nearly twice the size of modern elephants.
