Experience the beauty of northern Portugal through your lens in this seven-day immersive photography workshop and retreat. Led by internationally acclaimed photographer Ali Ghorbani, the programme offers hands-on instruction in nature, street, portrait and food photography. Explore the stunning landscapes, historic streets, coastal villages and local markets of Porto, Costa Nova, Aveiro and surrounding areas, while refining your technical skills and creative vision.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival & Street Photography (Porto)

Arrive in Porto, meet the group at the hotel, enjoy a welcome drink and check in. Begin with an introduction to street and documentary photography as you wander the vibrant streets. Finish with a traditional dinner and sunset views over the city.

Day 2Wine Culture & Editing

Guided walking tour and exclusive visit to an iconic Port wine house. Local tapas for lunch, then transfer to Solar Alegria. Welcome drinks and a session introducing photo editing.

Day 3Nature & Long Exposure

Introduction to nature photography in the surrounding countryside. Practice long exposure photography at the Cabreira waterfall, followed by a picnic and sunset shoot.

Digital camera with at least one medium-to-wide-angle lens
Smartphone for quick shots, on-the-go editing, and sharing
Laptop for backing up images, editing, and participating in review sessions
